Mobility For Nurses
Since 2006, FWA has contributed three motorcycles for emergency response and mobile health care services to rural villages. “This is about mobility for nurses and access to basic health care services for the people of Koinadugu District” notes Topher Hamblett, FWA President. “FWA supports NarSarah Clinic because it is a community-based initiative, staffed by local nurses who are also trusted community leaders.”
“These motorcycles are essential to our work. Now we can reach remote villages that are not accessible or take too long to reach by foot. We can visit patients, dispense medicine and provide health education to our people. Already they are pleased to see us come to their villages.” Balansama “Peacemaker” Kargbo, nurse.
